A new captain of Lokomotíva Zvolen Jarolím Samko won in Norway Tour Youth Classification after a nerve wrecking battle with another great Slovak rider Emanuel Žilka, and nothing was decided until everybody crossed the finish line of the king's stage. These two were the only young riders trying to win the white jersey, both in top form, but they showed in general classification that their battle was not easy at all, as Jarolím finished 3rd, Emanuel right behind him, and the difference between the winner Radoslav Dechev and the first young rider was just 17 seconds. Radoslav, the fresh winner of two OCM awards, was not in top form. But he was supported by great team mates in almost best age, who practically brought him to finish line in every stage. Second in the tour, Mirko Diesmann, was supported by an injured team mate, but despite this he still managed to get on the podium, just 9 seconds behind the winner.
What did Jarolím say about this close tour? "I'm proud and happy that I am the first to win the white jersey for Lokomotíva because the whole team has been waiting for it for a very long time. It was great to race against my friend Emanuel, who's a terrific rider with great future ahead of him. In fact, we'll meet again in a few days again in Perm Tour, so we can have some more fun together."
Jarolím is the 7th rider to bring home a palmares after Drahomír Slovák, Rado Holecko, Gusto Drozd, Valentín Kuzma, Ronald Cervenák and Eduard Pavelka.
